About Venusz
The Venusz Ensemble began its programs as a quartet. Directed by its violinist Elena Sherbanesco it has grown to its present membership of 12 world class and internationally acclaimed women musicians based in Puerto Rico.
Its success has been recognized by its growing popularity and demand. Among its acclaimed performances are the opening of “Casa Ashford” in San Juan special events such as “The Fussion between Classic and Tropical,” “Bohemian Nights,” and recognized programs specifically interpreted for Paintings and Photo Galleries celebrations, special offerings sponsored by “Ecocultura” (University of Puerto Rico) and the Musical Foundation of Ponce in 2005 and 2006.

Union of the vast spaces of Heaven, the indomitable strength of the Seas and the fiery depths of our Earth. Harmonized and brought forth in the sounds and notes that surge from this Union and surround our lives with your Music.
Venus, in Your honor and to invoke Your presence, “The Venusz Ensemble” was founded as the incarnate expression of the Art and Love and Beauty that emerges from your daughters, the Women of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra of San Juan, the City of Love.
The Venusz Ensemble origins and repertoire symbolizes the ever-present inspiration of the Goddess in our Island. From the Baroque to the Classic; from the Romantic, Borinquen's popular music and the international favorites that wash her shores, The Venusz Ensemble offers its listeners the passion for beauty and the softest sentiments of love, while blending into its programs the harmony and the strength of music as an offering to its followers.
